Hunting Leases at Prairie Smoke Ranch

After 19 years of outfitting we are now offering our ranch property and facilities on a simple "access lease" for Do-It-Yourself hunters. While you will receive exclusive access to our acreage, blinds, sloughs and lakes, we no longer provide guiding or decoys.

Check back in January for 2021 Bookings

We will no longer take mixed groups of multiple parties – if you lease the ranch you will have exclusive access to the entire acreage.

Leases will again be for five day periods (3 full and 2 half days = 4 full days.) Leases will begin on the afternoon of the first day and end on the morning of the last day. Our existing clients will have first choice of dates, the remainder will then be made available to new clients (see below).  A deposit of 1/2 the lease rate is required to reserve your dates. No refunds after July 1.

What we provide:

On-site lodging and exclusive access to 20+ lakes, sloughs, and uplands (870 acres) during the lease period.

Two bunkhouses with 8 beds total, full kitchens and refrigerators in each. Gas BBQ grill is included.

Guest bathroom/shower and heated mudroom.

Cleaning shed, power plucker, bird breaster and freezers for birds.

Use of our best pre-placed blinds.

Trap thrower.

Outdoor fire pit with wood.

Property maps. (Please bring your own PLOTS book and plat maps.)

What you provide:

Hunters supply their own trained hunting dogs, decoys and additional blinds (as needed).

All guests supply their own sleeping bag/bedroll and pillow (all bunks have mattresses and covers).

Boats are generally not needed but feel free to bring one up if you wish.

As in the past hunters supply their own food and hunting gear.

Hunters will do their own scouting off property and set their own decoys.

We recommend 4WD trucks and ATVs for maximum access to the property and surrounding area.

Hunters are responsible for knowing and following all North Dakota Game laws. If you have questions you may contact ND Game and Fish @ 701-328-6300.

Note: We do not lease to groups without dogs. Why? 'Cause we hate losing birds!
